In 2019, I contracted Pools R Us for an extensive pool renovation project that included the installation of a new concrete deck. Unfortunately, I have encountered persistent issues with the quality of their work, prompting me to share my experiences with the hope of raising awareness.

Shortly after the completion of the project, I began to notice significant deterioration in the newly poured concrete, resulting in the cool deck bubbling up. The concrete deck has exhibited alarming signs of decay and disintegration, which can be attributed to a fundamental problem with the concrete mix itself. This deterioration commenced within the first year after the project's conclusion and has progressively gotten worse.

My husband and I reached out to the owner around the one-year mark to address the bubbling cool deck. While they did send their team once to address the issue, the problem has persisted and even worsened in areas that received attempted repairs and all over the rest of the deck. It is vital to clarify that the issue lies with the concrete rather than the cool deck overlay, as nothing will adhere well to a crumbling concrete base. New concrete should look smooth and grey, but in my attached photos, you can see where the cool deck has chipped off; it looks sandy (this is the top layer of concrete crumbling off), and you can see the exposed aggregate in the concrete.

Regrettably, my attempts at communication with the owner have been marred by unprofessionalism, sarcasm, and a dismissive attitude. The owner has not taken the time to inspect the deficiencies since the project's completion, making it difficult to establish a productive dialogue. Yet, they will accuse me of causing the damage by "dragging furniture."

Furthermore, we encountered a separate issue related to a leak in the spa. Although Pools R Us denied responsibility, claiming they did not work on the plumbing, they did perform extensive excavation work, including jackhammering the old concrete around the plumbing. My construction photo clearly shows the exposed pipe where the leak occurred, at the exact location of the skimmer that Pools R Us was contracted to replace but ultimately removed. Despite this, they stated they did not service the "underground plumbing" and maintain that the leak was not their fault.

Lastly, the new plaster applied to our pool exhibits unsightly modeling, which cannot be remedied through acid washing. I brought out a company to bid on an acid wash since it's disappointing that my new pool looks so bad, but they noted that this issue appears to be a result of poor mixing before application, further reflecting the subpar workmanship on this project.

I understand that every company may face challenges, but the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by Pools R Us has left me deeply disappointed. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale and encourages others to consider alternative pool companies that prioritize professionalism, accountability, and quality workmanship. It is essential to choose a company that will stand behind their work and uphold the highest standards of service in the industry.

I've contacted about 5 different pool businesses before pools r us, let's just say this company had the best value for what you wanted, the others really didn't nor was their customer service that great so I went with pools r us (:
This was a waiting process for the pool to get built as well, but as expected. Took us a couple or so weeks for HOA in Lake Las Vegas to approve. We were patient, so we didn't mind waiting for the pool to get finished. The wait gave us some time to get our landscaping situation figured out with a landscaping company.
We only got our pool built by this business, and we are very pleased with it. Ben was the designer of the pool and he did a great job with designing a pool with what we wanted, we wanted a clean modern simple pool. A great size for just us two. Also with any questions we had he would answer them. Our pool looked a lot like the design, but to be honest the pool turned out amazing when finished. Thank you

  on 12/12/23, I called and spoke with a representative about remodeling my pool. The individual I spoke with said he would get back to me to confirm a date/time later that week, all the while I provided pictures and my address, he never called.  I called a 2nd time about 3 weeks later and spoke with another representative who scheduled a date/time and he came out to inspect my pool.  Upon leaving, he said he would send me a quote within 1-2 days, 6 days later and I'm still waiting for a quote.  In total, I've been waiting for a month just to get a quote.  I wanted to give them my business but their lack of communication has made me search elsewhere.

  I was a little nervous, but from start to finish I experienced excellent customer service. My re-plastered pool got a beautiful rehab. Butch was our sales rep. and he was professional, polite, and attentive to all my questions and concerns. The job went fast, smooth, and the workers were polite. This was a very positive customer service 10/10 experience, especially when compared to when the pool was originally built 12+ years ago. Thank you Pools R' Us! Thank you Butch!

  Just wanted to take some time to share my experience with these guys, and give them the recognition they are very much deserving of. Where it started was hunting for the perfect home that the wife and I both felt was worth making the purchase. After looking and looking, we found what we were looking for, only down side was it didn't have a pool. Living in Vegas, you definitely want to make the investment in having the right pool built for you, that you can jump in anytime to cool off, because this valley's heat is unforgiving. So we purchase the home, and only a short amount of time goes by before I begin browsing reviews for a great local pool builder, who also calls Vegas home and knows what having an amazing pool truly means in this desert heat. So I call a few companies, one sets an appointment, doesn't end up making it out until the following day. Another company, nobody even got back to me
This was within about a 3 day period. So I land on another company. I like the reviews, and the great local presence, not to mention the photos of their finished products looked quite impressive. I didn't want to get my hopes too high, as the previous companies lack of prompt response times had taken the wind out of my sails more than once. So I reached out to a company Pools R Us LLC. Within an hour I had a gentleman named Greg Tribble is returning my call. It turns out he actually owns and runs the company himself. So I had him stop by the house the following morning, and he took a thorough look around, took some measurements, and asked me what my vision for the backyard was. I appreciated the direct detailed question, because it made me realize I wasn't 100% sure, I just knew my wife and I wanted a pool and definitely a spa to relax in at night. So my answer of being unsure didn't seem to be a problem. He suggested I discuss it with my wife some more, really think about it and to sleep on it. In the meantime, he was going to have one of his lead sales/design specialist named Clay, stop by to grab some pics and take a few of his own measurements. Greg said that while we were thinking of any last minute ideas, Clay would go ahead and start coming up with a few different design concepts that he believed would best suit the space, while also taking functionality into consideration as well. This actually in the end, turned out to be very helpful, especially due to the fact that I don't have the type of mind to be able to picture a design of my own creation to well. So 2 days later we met with Clay and he had some beautiful design layouts, that were extremely detailed and really came to life right off of the pages. It's always nice to have a few options when making a decision, especially these that were so detailed and easy to picture.
After discussing the different shape options, and extra add-ons that were possible, we chose a modern square shaped pool, with an elevated spa that spills over partially onto a wet deck area of the pool we chose as well. We chose to have them install a salt generator system which actually produces it own chlorine, without having to add all the chemicals weekly and have your skin get so dried out, along with other things. In the end, the design we chose actually had some landscape concepts worked into it. So Greg and the team added in a nice combination of plants, rocks, and lights that made for a very appealing background surrounding the pool. They have a good sense of how to use and fill up a space, that makes it very nice to look at. I feel very lucky that I got that timely response from them that day, and everything worked out so well. The wife and I enjoyed our outdoor living there as long as we lived there. Since then we've actually sold the home, due to having to relocate to Atlanta Georgia for professional reasons. I'm glad to say though, we definitely got a nice return on the pool investment when we had to sell. Always a must if you live in Vegas, having a pool. I've always been one of those who take care of those who stand out and provide me the simple things I expect, which are honesty going the extra mile to brighten your day, and genuine great service. So  even though it's taken me a while, I'm glad I was able to take the time to hopefully express what a help and pleasure it was working with a very knowledgeable company. Even if it was a tad long winded, as I tend to be..  Again, thank you Greg and Clay, and team at Pools R Us LLC. If our journey brings us back to Vegas again, we have no doubt who to call.   We got several quotes for a remodel for our pool. We ended up going with Pools R Us. They did an incredible job and were so easy to work with. Its never inexpensive to get your pool redone, but it is worth the price with the value provided.

  This company goes above and beyond to make their customers happy.  The finished product looks great, was completed in a very reasonable amount of time, and priced competitively. Clay worked very hard to make sure the process ran smoothly and did a great job communicating each step along the way. I appreciate how he worked closely with my wife and I to make sure our vision for a pool and spa came to fruition without any extras that we did not want nor need. The final product was exactly what we had in mind. Additionally, It is clear to me that Greg values his customers and puts forth extraordinary effort to ensure each one is completely satisfied.  Everyone I dealt with at Pools R Us was pleasant, knowledgeable, and transparent.   We utilized Pools R Us to demo our existing pool deck and replace with a new one. We removed an existing water feature and added jet decks and it turned out better than we hoped for. Working with both Butch and Greg was a pleasure from day 1. They helped us see options we hadn't received from any other company we got quotes from (about 6 others) and they were very reasonably affordable for the scope of work. They were fast and efficient and very communicative along the way. When we did have a couple minor delays, they communicated quickly and helped us find solutions without adding to our cost. Highly recommend their services - so much so that we passed along the information to our next door neighbors who couldn't believe how great everything turned out and they are now under contract with them! Grateful to have come across this company and would highly encourage anyone needing service to consider them.
